Final Call: International Video Campaign
Our International Video Campaign Challenge is finally coming to an end.
We have received loads of amazing submissions already, so thanks to every single person who sent us something!
We are still accepting submissions until Sunday, February 7, 2010, so hurry up if you haven’t participated yet! We have 14 countries represented for now!
Doing what?
1) Make a video of yourself saying “I want Cherrybomb in [insert name of your country]!” in YOUR language.
OR
2) If you cannot make a video, or don’t want to be in the clip, take a picture of yourself and a sign saying “I want Cherrybomb in [insert name of your country]!” in YOUR language.
OR
3) If you don’t want to be in a picture, you may also hide your face with a Cherrybomb poster, or take a picture of a famous place or your pet, along with a sign saying “I want Cherrybomb in [insert name of your country]!” in YOUR language.
Simply email that until 7 February 2010 to staff@rupert-grint.us, so we can put all submissions together!
Thanks!
French Challenge!
Our next mission is to help France in the campaign. And just like we have been doing a lot lately, we will be tackling several media sources. First, we have two French entertainment websites to write to. They are Cinema-France and Comme au Cinema. We are also writing to two French entertainment magazines called Geek le Magazine (which is the French edition of the American magazine, Geek Monthly) and the ever so popular Premiere Magazine. The email addresses/ links at which to write to them are as follows:
Comme au Cinema- http://www.commeaucinema.com/contact.php (Note: This is a feedback form. When you write your letter, you will see a list of reasons under “Contact” for contacting Comme au Cinema. Click the second option that says “Vous souhaitez poser une question à la redaction, faire une suggestion :”. This is indicating that you want to ask the editor a question or send a suggestion. Then, fill out the form. You don’t have to fill out the section for your last name (Prénom), but you will definitely want to give them your first name (Nom), E-mail (in case they want to write back to you), subject (Sujet), and your message (Texte) where you will write your email.)
Cinema-France- press@gamekyo.com
Geek le Magazine- David Bianic, Editor in Chief: dbianic@geeklemag.com
Premiere Magazine- Gaël Golhen, Editor in Chief: gael.golhen@lagardere-active.com (Note: This magazine has already published an article about the Cherrybomb Distribution Campaign, but we want to tell them a little more about the movie itself and ask them to publish an article that gives a synopsis of the movie and maybe even leave a little reminder about the campaign. For this you might want to give them a few reviews from people who have already seen it, such as this one from Drfunkenberry.com.)
Just like we always tell you, when writing your email remember to be professional. Mention Rupert and Cherrybomb, and briefly tell them what this movie is about. Also, give them the link to our campaign site, the petitions page, the trailer, the offical Cherrybomb movie site, and our Rave Reviews section on Rupert’s performance in this film. You also might want to make a reference to his performances in other films. This could remind them that Rupert’s an incredible actor and make a point that Cherrybomb is another movie where he can have an opportunity to further show off his talents if it is released internationally.
Once again, when you have written your email, please let us know by posting comment below or by letting us know in the Cherrybomb Distribution Campaign thread in our forums. Good luck!
Thank you so much to everyone who has emailed!

Showbiz Tonight, TMZ, And People!
We thought it would be good to contact a few popular American media outlets to help us shed more attention on Cherrybomb and what we have accomplished so far. Remember the American deal is in talks but not confirmed the way we heard Britain was so it’s important to keep the buzzzzzzzz going!!!!
Showbiz Tonight just mentioned Rupert again and the whole Swine Flu so why can’t they talk about the fact that his fans helped his film get a movie deal? You can write to Showbiz Tonight by filling out this contact form.
We also thought it would be a good idea to contact TMZ. You can do so by clicking here and filling out a tip form.
And finally, we are going to do a Rupert Grint/Cherrybomb Challenge to coincide with this. We all know that every year People Magazine features an entire spread of many celebrities sex appeal, accomplishments for the year etc…. Rupert’s yet to be featured and with this being “Year of Grint” we owe it to him to it least nag People magazine and tell them that he deserves a spot as People’s Sexiest Ginger/Sidekick 2009. You can contact the editor of People at editor@people.com.
Think about all of the amazing things Rupert has done this year with photo-shoots, interviews etc…. Link or attach some of those photos from Blag or Daily Mail, link our Rave Reviews for Half Blood Prince, tell them about our campaign and mention the big news outlets that reported about it so they can see how much he’s been in the news. Shoot! Even the Swine Flu reports can help make him into this spread. Use all of your resources.
Do your best to “SELL” them. Put yourself in their shoes like if they were coming to you and your big magazine. What would they need to say to make you consider their candidate.
There is a thread that was started on the ICM Forums if you need more ideas on what to write. You’re all pros at this point, though. But, if you do need tips just let us know!

Italian Challenge!
Okay, we are going to help out or Italian friends this week! We are going to write to an Italian magazine called BestMovie. You may write to them by filling out their feedback form here. The website is in Italian, but in the feedback form all that is required is your First Name (Nome), Last Name (Cognome), E-mail, and your message (Testo del messaggio). If you don’t speak Italian, it’s okay. Just go ahead and write your letter in English. As usual, be polite and professional. Mention Rupert and Cherrybomb and tell all about the campaign. Of course, you’ll also want to tell them about our recent success in helping Cherrybomb get a UK distributor and that negotiations for a US distributor are in the works! And talk about the recent media buzz that has been surrounding it. Link them to the campaign site and the petitions page as well as the brand new official Cherrybomb movie site. Also, send them a link to the trailer on YouTube as well as our Rave Reviews section on the main site on Rupert’s performance in this film and give them a brief synopsis of what Cherrybomb is about. Lastly, another thing you could tell them that they might find interesting is that Cherrybomb was screeened at the 39th Gifonni Film Festival in July 2009. You may also want to send them a review from the festival written by SentieriSelvaggi.it. Read it in our media archives here.
When you send your email, please don’t forget to let us know in the comments below, or by making a post in the Cherrybomb Distribution Campaign Thread in our forums. Happy emailing!

Cherrybomb Campaign Mega-Challenge!
This week’s challenge is going to be a little different. Instead of writing to just one media source for our campaign, we will be writing to four different ones. We are going to write to some Irish media sites this week: Ireland.com and Eircom (news sites), and then The Irish Post and The Independent (newspapers). To make things easier when sending your emails, you might want to send one email to the new sites (asking them to write about the campaign on their sites) and one email to the newspapers (asking them to write an article about the campaign in their newspapers). By now you most likely know the drill when it comes to knowing how to write your email and what to include in it: be professional and polite, mention Rupert and that you’re a big fan who wants to see Cherrybomb, tell them about the campaign, link the campaign site and the petitions page and the trailer on YouTube and our Rave Reviews section on Rupert’s performance in Cherrybomb. Also, you might also want to talk about the number signatures we have so far. As you may remember, on our main site a couple of days ago we mentioned that our webmistress, Tao, has counted up all of the signatures and we now have 10,000 signatures total (and have gotten some more since then). The sites’ email addresses are as follows:
Eircom (feedback form): http://www.eircom.net/about/contact/webteam/
Ireland.com: info@digitalworx.ie
The Irish Post: Jon Myles, Editor- jonmyles@irishpost.co.uk
The Independent: info@independent.ie
When you have written your email, please let us know in either the comments below or in our Cherrybomb Distribution Campaign thread in our forums on the main site. This way, we can be sure to thank you by adding you to our list of members who wrote. Good luck!
EDIT: Recently, The Little Film Company released the new official Cherrybomb movie site . So, if you haven’t written to these sites/newspapers yet, please link the site when you do!
Thank you to eveyone who has emailed!

ABC7 Challenge
As many of you may remember, during the promotion of Rupert Grint’s latest movie, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, there was an interview conducted by the people from ABC7 (KABC-TV) , a television station in Los Angeles (To see the interview, click here). Well, that is who we are writing to this week to promote our Cherrybomb campaign. You may do so by clicking here. As we always say, please remember to be polite and professional. Mention Rupert and tell them about the campaign. (Don’t forget to link the petition site and the page where all of the petitions can be found!) Give them a brief synopsis of what Cherrybomb is about, link the trailer and our Rave Reviews section on Rupert’s performance in the film. And finally, mention that you’re a really big fan of Rupert and you would love to see this movie and that we need their help spreading the word about the campaign so this film can have a better chance of getting a worldwide distribution.
Remember to let us know when you have written to ABC7. You may do so by leaving a comment under this post or by letting us know in the Cherrybomb Distribution Campaign thread in our forums. Good luck!

Vanity Fair Challenge
Our next challenge is to email Vanity Fair Magazine! You can send a letter to the editor by going here on their website. As always, be professional and polite, give a brief synopsis on what Cherrybomb is about, mention Rupert, and tell them all about our campaign. Don’t forget to give them the link to the trailer on YouTube, the link to our petition site (particularly the link to the page where they can find all of the petitions), and the link where they can find reviews on Rupert’s performance in our Rave Reviews section on the main site. You also might want to mention the success three petitions that have already exceeded 1000 signatures and talk about the other five petitions that still need help.
And please do NOT forget to let us know when you have emailed them. You can do that by posting a message in the comments or in our Cherrybomb Distribution Campaign thread in the forums, also linked on the main site.

Film Journal Challenge
Now that we’ve finally gotten ElleGirl out of the way, it’s time to move on to our next challenge. This week, we need to write to Film Journal International Magazine. You can email the editor, Robert Sunshine, at robert.sunshine@nielsen.com . Need some writing tips? First and foremost, when asking them to mention the campaign in their magazine, don’t forget to be courteous and polite in your email. Mention Rupert and briefly tell them about the campaign and about our site. Say that you are a proud Rupert fan and you would love to see this film in a theatre near you, but you can’t unless we get as many signatures as possible for these petitions. It will also help to give a brief synopsis and to say that this movie has gotten some great reviews at the film festivals it has been to. And you will want to suggest that they mention the campaign in their news or blogs sections of their site. Lastly, please give them the link to the page on the petition site that lists all of the petitions. You can find it here. We did this when we wrote to the Reelz Channel and it helped the signature count increase tremendously!
Remember, you can also let us know when you have emailed Film Journal by submitting a comment below.

Entertainment Weekly Challenge!
We have exhausted the web and though I’m sure we can still find plenty of places to post and gather more signatures from online, it’s time to start tackling other, bigger avenues. While we would love to advertise in major magazines to get out the word, unfortunately that costs funds most of us just do not have, so another idea came up. Entertainment Weekly has sections in their magazine called “The Hit List” and “The Bullseye.” The idea is to send EW as many e-mails (ew_letters@ew.com) as we can about the campaign in hopes to get into one or both of these categories to help spread the word. Who knows, maybe there will even be a little write up!
Of course, we want to be respectful and not crash their site so please, one e-mail per person and be respectful in your e-mail. Tell them who you are, what you are doing, and link this website! You can follow our guidelines in the Mission and Marketing area and we’ll be available in the comments to help!
Update: Big thanks to those who have emailed Entertainment Weekly with their request to see CB mentioned in their movie hit list!
